Country Velvet came into our rescue program on September 5, 2023. Country Velvet came into our rescue program from an Oklahoma Kill Pen and saved by the Standardbred Retirement Foundation. This poor girl needed a safe place and we agreed to help. Country Velvet is a Beautiful, Bay, Standardbred, Mare. Country Velvet was foaled in 2008, making her 15 years old upon arrival into our program. Country Velvet is extremely emaciated with a body score of a 1. Country Velvet is a sweet girl and loves attention. She is halter broke and broke to lead. This sweet girl has a long road of recovery ahead of her. We will update as she progresses.
